Payment

TakeMeOverland accepts major credit cards through our online quickbook booking system. All credit card transaction are subjected to 3% transaction fee. We ask for 50% of the total amount upon booking, with the remaining 50% due no later than 14 days before departure.

A refundable damage deposit of $1500 will be applied to your payment method the day before pickup. This amount will be returned within seven days after drop-off, provided that the camper is in excellent condition, fuel is full, and no other terms of our Rental Agreement have been broken.

Damage

Renters are accountable for all damage to the vehicle, including exterior, tires, interior, and contents, while the vehicle is in their possession and before it is checked in by us upon return.

It is the Renter’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect the camper before departure from our premises for any damage not documented on the Vehicle Condition Report, which is provided in the Camper, and to notify us via email with supporting imagery. Additionally, we highly recommend that Renters take detailed photos or videos of the camper when dropping it off at our premises.

The Renter gives TakeMeOverland authorization to charge the payment card on file for the full cost of damages, along with any applicable administration and potential loss of revenue fees.

Accidents and Breakdowns

In the event of an accident, please refer to your Rental Agreement and notify us as soon as possible.

For emergencies, dial 9-1-1 immediately. If an accident occurs with potential damage exceeding $2,000, a police report from the relevant jurisdiction's office is necessary, and you must inform TakeMeOverland. In the case of a breakdown or requiring a tow, please contact roadside assistance. Should there be a mechanical issue with an internal component of the Camper, we will do our best to repair the problem via phone tech support and get you on your way as quickly as possible. If this unlikely event happens to be  within a 200 km radius of our locations, we may dispatch a technician for on-site repair. In the event of a significant breakdown, an alternate camper may be provided if available. The renter is liable for any incidental expenses incurred during a breakdown.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Pick-up is from 3:00 PM. Drop-off is by 11:00 AM on your last day. Need to adjust either? Early pick-up and late drop-off are available as add-ons — just add them to your cart. If something comes up on the road, give us a heads up as soon as you can. There may be someone waiting on the rig.

All rentals include 200 km per night, calculated cumulatively across your trip.
If you go over this amount you will be charged $0.45/KM.

Renters are responsible for all citations, fines, and tolls incurred during the period the vehicle is in their possession.

If TakeMeOverland receives a citation after the rental, you authorize us to pay the ticket amount on your behalf. TakeMeOverland is then authorized to charge the credit card on file the fine amount plus a $100 service fee as per our Rental Agreement.
